Cold Night Shelter for the Homeless to Open

COLD WEATHER EMERGENCY ADVISORY
Date: February 16 – 18, 2007
The National Weather Service forecasts a low temperature over the weekend of February 16 – 18, 2007.
Broward County has declared a cold weather emergency for Friday through Sunday – February 16, 17 and 18, 2007. Homeless persons are advised to report to the following locations, no later than 6:00 p.m. for transportation to special cold night shelters:
Pompano Beach
Pompano Beach City Hall
100 W. Atlantic Blvd (SE Corner)
Fort Lauderdale
The Salvation Army
1445 W. Broward Blvd
Hollywood
Corner of N. 21 Ave
Lincoln St. and/or Corner of
N. 21 Ave. & Sherman St.
Please notify homeless persons in your area of this plan.
Reverse transportation will occur at 8:00 a.m. all three mornings.
