PUBLIC INPUT ENCOURAGED FOR AIRPORT NOISE STUDY FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Broward County Commissioners will hear public comments on the Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study for the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) on Wednesday, March 14, at 7:00 p.m. The televised Public Hearing is scheduled to take place in the Broward County Governmental Center Commission Chambers, Room 422, 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale.
Also attending the hearing will be consultants from Jacobs Consultancy, the firm preparing the study, and staff from the Broward County Aviation Department.
A Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study includes the development of a Noise Exposure Map and a Noise Compatibility Program. It involved analyzing existing and future noise exposure, identifying appropriate uses for land surrounding the Airport, and recommending noise mitigation programs to benefit surrounding communities.
