July 9th, 2007
The Broward County Office of Economic Development, in conjunction with the Broward Emergency Management Agency, is seeking economic damage information from all area businesses affected by the current 2007 drought conditions. The information gathered will help emergency managers determine whether Broward County may be eligible to receive federal disaster assistance.
“We are asking business owners to contact us today so we can better understand the level of loss from the ongoing drought,” said Patricia Taylor, Economic Development Specialist, with the Broward County Office of Economic Development.
Businesses experiencing a significant, uninsured loss of revenue, 40 percent or greater when compared from January 1 to June 30, 2006, to January 1 to June 30, 2007, as a result of the recent drought are asked to contact: Broward County Office of Economic Development by July 11, 2007, at 954-357-6155
